Three of the nation’s top 100 hospitals belong to Utah’s MountainStar Healthcare network, according to an annual ranking published by Fortune in partnership with PINC AI.

The 2025 Fortune/Premier 100 Top Hospitals® list is based on public data that reflect measures of clinical outcomes, operational efficiency, patient experience and financial health. Utah’s St. Mark’s Hospital (Salt Lake City) was named one of the nation’s 20 best large community hospitals, while Lakeview Hospital (Bountiful) and Lone Peak Hospital (Draper) were named among the 20 top small community hospitals.

“We’re proud of what this recognition says about our nearly 7,000 Utah colleagues who make a positive difference in patients’ lives every day,” said Evan Ray, president of MountainStar Healthcare. “Just as importantly, we’re grateful to the families who trust us with their care needs, and we are committed to delivering high-quality care across our award-winning network.”

MountainStar Healthcare is a comprehensive system of care sites from Logan to Payson that served more than a million patient interactions last year. MountainStar and its sister HCA Healthcare facilities in Alaska and Idaho comprise the Mountain Division, which was named one of the 15 Top Health Systems by Fortune and PINC AI in 2024. In all, 33 of the 100 Top Hospitals are part of HCA Healthcare, one of the nation’s leading providers of health services. Leaders say the knowledge, data and best practices from HCA Healthcare’s 44 million annual patient interactions help to continually enhance the care delivered by local teams in the Beehive State.

Lakeview also received Premier’s Everest Award, given to facilities that, in addition to securing the top 100 rank, have also achieved top rates of improvement over a 5-year period. Ogden Regional Medical Center, was also recognized by Premier as one of the 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals for 2025.
