Six MountainStar hospitals make inaugural 'Top Hospitals' list

Lone Peak earns 5-star rating while five sister Utah hospitals also make Forbes' new list.

May 11, 2026

Utah-based health network MountainStar Healthcare announced that six of its facilities made the inaugural Forbes Top Hospitals list for 2026. This recognition is based on a data-driven methodology evaluating patient outcomes, hospital best practices, value, and patient experience.

The recognition places these Utah hospitals among the highest-performing facilities in the nation. Draper’s Lone Peak Hospital headlined the list with a 5-star rating. Lakeview Hospital, Mountain View Hospital, Ogden Regional Medical Center, St. Mark’s Hospital and Timpanogos Regional Hospital also made the list, which evaluated approximately 5,400 general acute care hospitals throughout the United States.

“Being named a Forbes Top Hospital is a true honor because it reflects the trust our patients place in us every day,” said Melinda Patterson, Chief Nursing Officer at Lone Peak Hospital. “At Lone Peak and throughout our Utah hospitals, we focus relentlessly on quality, safety and patient experience.

“This recognition is not something you can buy,” continued Patterson. “It’s earned through outcomes, experience and a deep commitment to the communities served by our Utah team.”

MountainStar Healthcare is comprised of roughly 80 total sites of care from Logan to Payson. The network serves more than a million patient interactions each year across its eight hospitals, 14 emergency rooms, eight urgent care clinics, 10 surgery centers and other supporting locations.

It is part of HCA Healthcare, a leading national healthcare provider that uses knowledge, data and best practices from more than 44 million annual patient interactions to enhance the care delivered by local teams in Utah and elsewhere.

This recognition from Forbes underscores MountainStar Healthcare’s continued investment in quality, innovation, and patient-centered care, ensuring Utah families have access to nationally recognized care close to home.
