Preparing for your new baby
Trinity, FL — HCA Florida Trinity Hospital hosts a variety of childbirth education classes taught by experienced childbirth educators and designed to prepare families for their new addition.
Understanding birth
Designed to prepare moms and their support person for the birth of their baby. Participants will learn about the different stages of labor, medical procedures and types of birth. Includes a tour of obstetrics. Class fee is $10.00.
Understanding breastfeeding
Details the health benefits of breastfeeding with a focus on fundamentals and how to access support. Includes a tour of obstetrics. Class fee is $10.00.
Understanding your newborn
Details the transition into the new role of parent, the baby’s homecoming and basic infant care. Topics include feeding, bathing, infant behavior, signs of illness, car seat safety, safe sleep and immunization schedule. Includes a tour of obstetrics. Class fee is $10.00.
Tour of Obstetrics
Participants will visit the labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum rooms and learn about our infant safety and security program.
