Rita Tea — Registration Department

Chances are that if you’ve been to Brigham City Community Hospital, you’ve met Rita Tea. She’s been with us for 23 years — the last nine of those in our Admissions/Registration department.
Rita originally started here as a nurse’s aide after high school to see if she wanted to pursue that profession. She ended up working elsewhere for 14 years but eventually “came back home,” as she puts it. “I love the people who work here, and I love talking to and helping my patients,” Rita says.
Rita says she loves her job in the admitting department because she enjoys making sure every account is correct. “I love the hunt for correct information and figuring things out. Even though something will inevitably come up; we can handle it as a team,” she says.
Outside of work, Rita loves to refurbish wood products. She has done her kitchen table, cedar chest, a stool, and is currently working on an end table and chair. “I also love spending time with my grandchildren,” she says. “They make any day a better day.”
